1. Who this policy applies to
This policy sets out what you may and may not do with BotLunar; it forms part of our Terms of Service. Version 1.0; the effective date is set on publication.
It applies to every customer, every team member in a workspace, and every bot connected to BotLunar. You are responsible for anything your team or your bots do through BotLunar.
If this policy and the Terms of Service differ, the Terms of Service apply.
2. Consent and messaging rules
You may message only members of your own server who have a recorded opt-in, and you must stop the moment they unsubscribe.
You must:
- use one of the two opt-in methods BotLunar records: the member confirms themselves (recommended, and expected for members in the EU and UK), or your server's rules screening contains your marketing wording and you accept responsibility for it;
- keep your opt-in wording honest about what members will receive and how often;
- respect every unsubscribe immediately, and never message that person again unless they opt back in themselves.
You must not:
- message anyone who hasn't opted in, including people from bought, rented, scraped or shared lists;
- remove, hide or work around the unsubscribe button or link;
- try to get around frequency caps, quiet hours, pacing or any other sending limit, for example by splitting one audience across workspaces;
- pretend to be someone else, including Discord, another company or a member of your staff you aren't.
3. Content you must never send
You must never use BotLunar to send content that is illegal, deceptive or harmful.
- Scams, phishing, fake giveaways, fake account warnings, or links pretending to be another site.
- Malware, or links to anything that installs software without clear consent.
- Pump-and-dump schemes, market manipulation, or coordinated buying of any asset.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Other people's personal information shared without a lawful reason.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or content that promotes violence.
- Sexual content, or any content involving or directed at minors in a harmful way.
- Content that breaks the law where you or your members are.
4. Financial promotions
Most BotLunar customers promote trading products, so these rules apply to every message about trading, prop firm challenges, courses, signals or any financial product.
You must not:
- promise or suggest guaranteed profits, guaranteed payouts, or "risk-free" trading;
- show income, payout or performance claims you can't prove, or present one trader's results as typical;
- hide the main conditions of an offer, such as challenge rules, fees, refund terms or when a discount ends;
- create false urgency, such as a countdown that resets or a "last spots" claim that isn't true;
- target people under 18;
- offer regulated investment services or advice where you aren't licensed to.
You must:
- follow the advertising and financial promotion rules of the countries your members are in, including any required risk warnings;
- make sure discount codes, prices and links in your messages are accurate when they're sent.
BotLunar's compliance word check flags some risky phrases, but it is guidance only. It doesn't make a message compliant, and you remain responsible for every message you send.
5. Discord rules and your bots
You must follow Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines and Developer Policy at all times; breaking them is also a breach of this policy.
- Connect only bots you created in your own Discord Developer Portal.
- Connect each bot to one server in one workspace only.
- Don't use a connected bot with any other tool or service at the same time.
- Never connect a user account token, or use self-bots or any automation of a personal Discord account.
- Don't try to get around a limit or restriction Discord has placed on a bot or account. Using BotLunar's built-in multi-bot sending and standby bots as designed is allowed; adding bots to escape a Discord restriction is not.
- Don't use BotLunar to raid, spam or disrupt any server, including your own members' other servers.
If Discord restricts or bans a bot or account, you must not reconnect a replacement to keep sending the same campaign.
6. Using BotLunar itself responsibly
You must not attack, overload or misuse BotLunar, its API or the people who run it.
- Don't probe, scan or test BotLunar for weaknesses, or run load tests against it, without our written permission. If you find a security problem, email legal@botlunar.com and give us a reasonable time to fix it before telling anyone else.
- Don't access another customer's workspace or data, or try to.
- Don't share sign-in details, or let anyone outside your team use your workspace.
- Keep API keys secret, give each key only the permissions it needs, and revoke any key that may have leaked.
- Don't get around plan limits, trials or rate limits, for example by opening extra accounts.
- Don't copy, scrape, resell or reverse engineer BotLunar, except through its agency features for your own clients.
- Read and check every AI-drafted reply before sending it. You are responsible for it once it's sent.
7. Reporting, enforcement and changes
Reporting. Anyone, including a member who received a message, can report misuse to legal@botlunar.com. Please include the server name and a screenshot or the message text.
What we may do. Depending on how serious and how repeated a breach is, we may:
- warn you and ask you to fix it;
- stop a campaign, or pause sending for a workspace;
- suspend the workspace: you can still sign in, view and export your data, but all sending, automations, scheduled campaigns, outgoing webhooks and API keys are paused until it's lifted;
- close the account, as set out in the Terms of Service.
We act immediately, without a warning first, when there's a real risk to members, to Discord's trust in your bots, or to BotLunar. Where the law allows, we tell you why and what you can do. We may report illegal activity to the authorities.
Changes. We may update this policy, and we give at least 30 days' notice of significant changes, by email and in the dashboard.
